Germany Awards - Order of Vigilance/White Falcon 2nd Class Knight's Cross
The Order of Vigilance and the House of the White Falcon (full name) was established by Duke Ernst Augustus back in 1732. It originally consisted of 3 classes of Grand Cross, Commander and Knight. In the early years of the order, there were almost no carriers left. The order was renewed by Grand Duke Charles Augustus on 18 October 1815. On February 18, 1840, a knight of the 2nd class and a cross for merit in the 2nd class were added. Initially, the award was for civil merit. For merits in the war, he was awarded swords.
Silver cross in Maltese uniform. On the upper cruciform shoulder between the tops there is a segment to which a movable silver crown is attached. A ribbon ring passes through the imperial apple.
Front side:
- Cross-shaped hands are green glass-enameled with a silver border.
In the - corners of the crosspiece are red glass-enameled rhombuses with silver ornamented peaks and silver edges.
In the - center is a white enameled and silver falcon, facing its head to the left.
Downside:
- Silver cross in Maltese uniform. The cruciform shoulders are white enameled with a silver border.
In the - corners of the traverse are green glass-enameled rhombuses with silver ornamented peaks and silver edges.
- A blue enameled shield is installed in the center. This is surrounded by a silver laurel wreath tied below
- Above is a silver crown.
- On the blue central shield there is 4 lowercase font: - VIGI - LANDO - ASCEN - DIMUS -.
